Sweetwater Bison Ranch sells only USDA inspected meat, processed locally in Colorado. We are confident of our high standards and quality of meat. If, for any reason, the consumer is not satisfied, the purchase will cheerfully be refunded.


Because of the low fat content, bison meat needs to be cooked slowly and at lower temperatures to preserve the natural juices and prevent the meat from drying. Bison is naturally darker in appearance than beef, due to its higher protein content, lower fat content, and higher iron content.
